At Artonic, we can build your e-commerce website on a variety of platforms including SolidShops, Magento, Open Cart, and more. We are not a one-size-fits-all service. To be successful, you need the choice that will bring you the best results.
What is required for an e-commerce website?
- Merchant account - this is the service that actually deposits the money into your bank account. We use First Data most often. First Data may have some annual or monthly fees.
- Gateway account - this is the service that provides the communication between the website and the merchant account. We usually use Authorize.net and they charge about $25/month.
- Dedicated IP Address
- SSL Certificate
- Hosting
- Domain Name
We will assist with setting up merchant and gateway accounts. We will also completely handle the dedicated IP, SSL certificate, hosting, and domain name for you. As mentioned above, we usually work with First Data and Authorize.net, however, we can work with any merchant and gateway provider. For all pieces required for an e-commerce site, on-going costs are in the vicinity of $60 - $100 per month plus credit card transaction fees of roughly 3%.
